Come discover Cilento through an extraordinary artistic experience, where art, nature, and sustainability harmoniously blend together. Explore your creativity and immerse yourself in the scenic beauty of the village of Bosco, overlooking the Gulf of Policastro. Guided by Cesare, a talented local artist, you will bring your artwork to life. An artistic experience ‘en plein air’ and in the studio, serving as an opportunity for creative expression and engagement with beauty.
During your stay, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the home and museum of Ortega, a renowned Spanish painter from Picasso’s school, who sought refuge in Bosco due to persecutions from the Spanish Francoist regime. You’ll also get the chance to meet local artists active in the area, including painters, sculptors, ceramicists, goldsmiths, restorers, and mosaic artists. Additionally, you’ll contribute to reducing the environmental impact by consuming local, seasonal organic food and using natural soaps and detergents made on-site with locally grown medicinal herbs.

The visit continues to the ceramic mural created by master Peppino Mitarotonda from Matera, based on a design by painter Ortega. The mosaic depicts the events of the 1828 uprising, which saw Bosco plundered and destroyed by the Bourbon army. During the visit, photographic material will be collected to serve as inspiration for the next day’s work.
