Cesare Siboni is a figurative painter with a clear classical inspiration, whose artistic training has been strongly influenced by the beauty of Italian and Spanish 17th-century painting, with some experimental forays into the 19th-century manner. He holds a diploma in surgical anatomical drawing and has attended the l’Accademia delle Belle Arti di Napoli.
From the beginning of his career, Siboni has chosen to establish a direct relationship with his clientele, prioritizing dialogue and collaboration with his patrons over relying on gallery representation. In the creation of his works, he has consistently deepened his knowledge of ancient painting materials and techniques, delving ever further into artistic exploration.
Siboni’s works have gained favor among collectors in Italy, Japan, and Belgium. Since 2000, he has opened his studio to students eager to learn the art of drawing and painting. Currently, he resides and works in the picturesque setting of Cilento, where he founded the Cilento Academy, which has become a true focal point for artistic education—a place of meetings and cultural exchange that promotes cultural events, artistic workshops, and moments of research and dissemination.
The Cilento Academy actively commits to the preservation of art and the landscape, addressing pressing issues through the universal language of beauty. Cesare Siboni stands as an authoritative figure within this artistic community, offering his extensive experience and passion for art as a beacon of inspiration and guidance for future generations.
